Nothing should be interpreted as medical advice from a licensed healthcare professional, a recommendation to start or stop any medication or treatment, or a basis for any clinical decision.

3. CGM Sensors
CGM sensors (T-300D EU · CT-300D UK) supplied with applicable subscriptions are third-party manufactured medical devices by Zhejiang PocTech Co., Ltd. Their use is subject to the manufacturer’s instructions for use.
CGM sensor readings: are indicative only and may not be as accurate as laboratory tests · should not be used for insulin dosing without fingerprick confirmation · may be affected by certain medications, supplements and physiological conditions · are not intended for Type 1 diabetes management without independent clinical oversight.
4. EVA Intelligence Engine
EVA analyses patterns in your biometric data to generate personalised wellness insights, predictions, and recommendations. EVA’s outputs are not clinically validated for any medical purpose, may not account for your full medical history or medications, and should always be considered alongside your healthcare provider’s advice.
5. Pregnancy and Reproductive Health
If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding:
- Consult your obstetrician, midwife, or healthcare provider before using the Alva platform
- Do not use EVA’s recommendations to manage gestational diabetes
- CGM sensor adhesives and sensor wear may have specific contraindications during pregnancy — check with your doctor
- Metabolic patterns during pregnancy differ significantly from those of the general adult population. EVA’s models are not trained on pregnancy data and may generate inaccurate outputs.
6. Paediatric Use
The Alva platform is intended for users aged 13 and above. It is not designed, validated, or approved for use in children under 13 under any circumstances.
For users aged 13–17: the platform is a general wellness tool only and is not appropriate for the management of any paediatric metabolic condition. Parental or guardian supervision and healthcare professional guidance is strongly recommended. CGM sensor use in this age group should be discussed with a paediatrician before commencing.
7. Medicine Interactions
Certain medications may affect glucose readings from CGM sensors and may therefore affect EVA’s predictions and recommendations. Known categories include:
- Corticosteroids (e.g. prednisolone, dexamethasone) — may raise glucose levels significantly
- Beta-blockers — may mask hypoglycaemic symptoms
- Certain antibiotics (e.g. fluoroquinolones) — may affect CGM sensor accuracy
- Diuretics — may affect glucose readings
- Aspirin and other NSAIDs at high doses — may affect CGM accuracy
- GLP-1 receptor agonists and SGLT-2 inhibitors — affect glucose metabolism significantly
This list is not exhaustive. If you take any prescription or over-the-counter medication, consult your healthcare provider or pharmacist before using a CGM sensor in conjunction with the Alva platform.

10. Who Should Consult a Doctor First
Consult your healthcare provider before using Alva Health if you:
- Have Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes
- Are pregnant or planning to become pregnant
- Are breastfeeding
- Have a known metabolic, eating, or endocrine condition
- Take medication affecting blood glucose (see Section 7)
- Are under specialist care for cardiovascular, renal, or endocrine conditions
- Are under 18
- Have an active mental health condition
